What is ancient, and what is medieval? Defining clear chronological boundaries for literature composed across the premodern world is a challenge. At the same time, ancient and medieval literatures are connected by ongoing phenomena and shared or comparable features. The series Ancient & Medieval aims to foster dialogue among scholars working on different periods to discuss general themes and intersections. We warmly welcome academics and students of any level and with any background. Coffee, tea, and biscuits are offered to participants.

Speaker: Dr Vladimir Olivero, Preceptor in Classical Hebrew, Harvard University
